Nurseries in Feltham

Feltham North has previously been one of Hounslow's tighter areas for younger childcare. Hounslow's latest published sufficiency assessment recorded no vacancies for under 2s in Feltham North at the survey point and also no vacancies for privately paying 2 year olds.

The position is not static. Current 2026 council listings include Feltham childminders advertising places for children from 6 months old, including one TW14 provider with full and part time availability.

Parents needing a specific start date should therefore enquire early but should not assume there are currently no places anywhere in Feltham.

Current Hounslow council records provide useful local examples.

One Feltham childminder currently charges £7 per hour for private childcare, while another charges £8 per hour and a TW14 provider charges £8.50 per hour.

These are current individual examples rather than an average Feltham nursery fee. Nursery prices and charges for meals or other optional extras can differ.

Yes. Current Hounslow records include Feltham childcare operating from 7am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday. One all year TW13 childminder offers these hours alongside holiday care, emergency care and weekend care.

Another current TW14 provider also operates 7am to 6:30pm throughout the year and offers funded childcare.

For parents working shifts or commuting towards Heathrow, this can provide considerably more coverage than a school nursery day.

Yes, although the choice is smaller.

A current Hounslow registered childminder in TW14 offers childcare from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and had spaces for both 9 month to 2 year olds and 2 year olds in its August 2026 vacancy update.

This type of provision is particularly relevant for shift workers because most standard nursery days finish earlier.

Yes. Eligible working families can receive up to 30 funded hours a week for children aged 9 months to 4 years.

Each eligible parent normally needs to earn the equivalent of at least 16 hours a week at the applicable minimum or living wage, and each must normally earn no more than £100,000 a year.

Meals, nappies, sun cream, trips and additional hours sit outside the funded entitlement, but Hounslow states that paying these charges must not be a condition of accessing a funded place.

Hounslow's current list of school nursery classes offering 30 hours includes several Feltham area schools, including Feltham Hill Infant and Nursery School and Reach Academy Feltham.

School nursery hours are usually less suitable for a full working day than long day childcare, so parents should compare the actual daily session before choosing solely on the basis of the 30 hour offer.

Yes. This is a useful feature of Feltham's current childcare market.

A current TW13 childminder provides morning and afternoon collection for Feltham Hill Infant and Nursery School and other nearby schools while also providing early years childcare. Another local listing covers Feltham Hill, Oak Hill and Reach Academy.

This can reduce the need for separate arrangements when siblings attend different settings.

Both are available.

Current Feltham listings include all year childcare from 7am to 6:30pm, while another current provider operates only during term time from 8am to 5pm and charges £8 per hour for non funded care.

Parents using funded hours should therefore check the number of weeks offered, not just the weekly number of funded hours.

Hounslow operates an SEN Inclusion Fund for children aged 9 months to 4 years with recognised SEND who have severe to profound learning delay and attend an eligible Ofsted registered Hounslow early years provider offering funded places.

The nursery applies for the funding with parental agreement. A child does not need to wait until school age before additional support can be considered.

Yes. Hounslow Portage provides home based educational support for children from 6 months to nursery entry who have moderate or severe developmental delay in more than 2 areas, including cognitive development.

Visits are normally weekly or every 2 weeks. Hounslow also permits parent self referral, so families do not have to wait for a nursery to make the referral.
